sweet weekend for baltimore ravens wide receiver torrey smith. he turned in one of his best games as a pro but did that with a heavy heart. smith's younger brother died saturday night while riding his motorcycle in northern virginia. smith, a former terrapin receiver, decided to play in last night's game against the patriots. he scored two touchdowns in a ravens win. afterwards, smith talked about playing with that weight on his shoulders. >> you play with a heavy heart. you want to play for that person. i know my mom and all my family and everyone was back at the house. i texted my mom when i got here to the stadium. that's when i really made the decision i was going to play. she was excited about it. she was like, of course he'd want you to play. >> ravens had a moment of silence before the game for jones. police are still investigating the crash, but they say alcohol was not a factor. >>> the police and fbi agents who caught the former marine responsible for firing at several military buildings will be honored today. yonathan melaku pled guilty to shooting at the pentagon, quan

, we've got cool temperatures, 61 at gaithersburg. 63 at baltimore. 62 at dulles. we're feeling that fall chill out there. we're not alone. take a look at this, across areas of the dakotas, 36 degrees right now, unbelievable, 37 in areas of the northern plains. so that's a pretty good indication of the cooler air that's really settling in. we're going to get a gradual warmup as we move through the course of the week. northwesterly flow today, plenty of sunshine. ridge of high pressure in control. that's going to hold us into the week. much cooler, but we'll see plenty of sunshine. by midday today, 76 degrees, sunny and pleasant. and our high today is going to be 77 degrees. light northwesterly winds, as i mentioned. and sunny skies, dry and cooler. by tonight, we'll have temperatures into the 50s. that's going to be pretty much everywhere. our accuweather seven-day forecast, look at this run of sunshine. not bad at all. there is a chance, however, that we could see a spotty shower once we get into the weekend, saturday, maybe sunday, because of another frontal system coming thro

tomorrow and still sunny enough, 82 quantico, 76 annapolis, baltimore about 79 and martinsburg, i expect your high temperature to come in right around 80 degrees. we want to show you the weekend manner. we've got this front that will come through. it looks like most of the action is overnight and not much action. i think the front will run out of moisture. saturday maybe an early morning cloud, but i think sun will break through and a temperature of 78 degrees with a refreshing breeze out of the northwest. sunday about the same temperature, but we start out sunny and might cloud up later at night. that's from a system that will be developing down to the gulf coast that might start moving toward our area for monday. the weekend now looks really good, so nice that maybe you're tempted to take advantage of ocean city this weekend. the water is about 74 degrees. it will be partly sunny both days. notice the wind direction out of the northeast at 10. that's why those temperatures are similar to the water temperature at 74, our air temperature at ocean city this weekend between 75 and 78 degre

of other spots down to the 50s, 54 gaithersburg, 52 frederick, 61 baltimore, 60 for fredericksburg and you can see culpeper down to 54 degrees and out here we'll find a lot of spots dropping into the 40s. check out our projected low temperatures under clear skies, very dry conditions, 57 for the district, a pair of 49s for gaithersburg and frederick, dulles 48 degrees and culpeper comes in at 49 degrees. a little warmer closer to the bay, annapolis may come in closer to 60 degrees. tonight clear skies mean chilly low temperatures, but 57 for the district, full sunshine tomorrow, a lot more of the same great weather we had today. sunny and crisp with a temperature of 78 degrees. it will be cool in the morning, 60 in the city, but 50s in the suburbs at 8 a.m. by noon 73 degrees, sunshine and 5:00 78 with mostly sunny skies continuing. here's where we're thinking the highs hit tomorrow, again another day in the 70s, maybe on the lower end of the 70s looking out to the western suburbs and 78 degrees in the district. satellite and radar again shows us all the clear skies that we have. you have
